House and History

Originally built in 1826, the house was rebuilt in the late 1850's after a major fire, and was bought by the current owners in 1991. It finally reopened after major renovation in 1994. Additions include courtyard accommodation, a dance barn with an entertainment room, a gym, salt water swimming pool and a tennis court. The property does boast several of its original features, including a Grade II listed Victorian grotto nestled inside the walls, underneath the limestone balustrades.

The house has been styled to reflect the owner's tastes. The house is traditional with a contemporary twist , with culturally diverse art and sculptures they have collected along the way.
